The line, stage by stage

A finishing line is a sequence, and a problem at one stage usually shows up as a defect at another. Poor cleaning produces plating adhesion failures. An out-of-balance acid dip produces inconsistent deposit thickness. A passivate running at the wrong pH produces salt spray failures that get blamed on the plating.

Because we supply every stage, the troubleshooting conversation is not four separate vendors each confident the problem is somewhere else.

What we supply

Alkaline soak and electro cleaners, acid pickles and descalers, plating chemistry and brighteners, chromate and chrome-free passivates, sealers, rust preventatives, and the coagulants and precipitants for the waste treatment system that catches all of it.

Laboratory support

Send a bath sample to Arleta and get titration results with a recommended addition schedule. Most of our plating customers use this monthly. Bath analysis catches the drift that produces a scrap batch, and it is cheaper than the scrap.

Hexavalent conversion

If a customer specification or a regulatory requirement is pushing you off hexavalent chromate, we support the conversion with panel testing and a line trial before you commit a production tank. Changing a passivate is not a drop-in substitution, and we would rather de-risk it than sell a drum that comes back.
