PKL LITE is the aluminium-safe counterpart to PKL PRO — blended and lab-released in Arleta.
What it is for
Cleaning aluminium, zinc, magnesium, and other alloys that a high-alkalinity cleaner would etch, stain, or dissolve. It is inhibited specifically to prevent attack on soft metals while still lifting oils and shop soils.
Typical operating conditions
- Dilution: 1:8 to 1:25
- Temperature: ambient to 140 °F — it performs well cold, which saves energy
- Application: spray, immersion, ultrasonic, manual wipe
- Substrates: aluminium, zinc, magnesium, brass, and all substrates PKL PRO handles
Rinsability
Low residue on rinse, which matters when the next operation is painting, anodising, or bonding. A cleaner that leaves film is a coating adhesion failure waiting to be blamed on the paint.
Choosing between PRO and LITE
If your line runs only steel and cast iron, PKL PRO cleans faster and cheaper. If there is any aluminium in the mix — or if there might be next quarter — LITE avoids an expensive lesson.
