Handling
Dilution generates a great deal of heat and can boil violently if done incorrectly. Always add acid to water slowly with agitation, never water to acid.
At 93% it is relatively non-corrosive to carbon steel, which is why steel tanks are common. Dilute sulfuric is far more aggressive to steel than concentrated — a tank suitable for 93% may fail rapidly if the contents are diluted by water ingress. Keep it dry.
Compatibility
Incompatible with bases, most metals in dilute form, organics, chlorates, and water in uncontrolled quantity. Never store near caustic or hypochlorite — contact with hypochlorite liberates chlorine gas.
