Coag-Plus is blended in Arleta for industrial wastewater treatment, particularly metal finishing effluent.
What it does
- Precipitates heavy metals — zinc, copper, nickel, chromium, lead — across a wider pH band than a single-salt coagulant
- Reduces total suspended solids
- Produces a dense, fast-settling floc that dewaters well
- Lowers sludge volume relative to lime treatment, which lowers disposal cost
Typical dosing
Dose is entirely dependent on influent chemistry — there is no useful universal number. Jar testing establishes it, and we will run those jar tests on your actual effluent at no charge before you buy anything.
Operating pH is typically 6 to 9. Polymer addition after coagulation usually improves settling further; we can recommend and supply one.
Why a blend rather than a single salt
Metal finishing effluent is rarely one metal at one pH. A blended coagulant covers a wider range of species and pH conditions than ferric or alum alone, which matters when your rinse water composition changes with whatever the plating line ran that shift.

If you are chasing a permit limit, bring us the analysis and the limit. Sometimes the answer is this product; sometimes it is a process change upstream, and we would rather say so.
