Certificates of Analysis
A Certificate of Analysis reports the actual analytical results for the specific lot you received. It is not the same document as a safety data sheet, and for a process with a tight specification it is the one that matters.
What a CoA gives you
- Lot or batch number, tied to what was physically delivered
- Assay or concentration as measured, not as nominally specified
- The specification range each result was released against
- Date of manufacture and date of analysis
- Authorisation from our quality group releasing the lot
Which products carry one
Every product blended in our Arleta facility is released against a CoA — that is part of the ISO 9001:2015 quality system. For products we distribute rather than blend, we pass through the manufacturer’s CoA for the lot supplied.
The product pages on this site list which documents are available for each item.
Getting a copy
Account holders can request the CoA for any lot received. Email cs@mileschemical.com with the product name and the lot number from the container label, and we will send it the same business day.
If you need CoAs routinely — for an audit trail, a customer requirement, or an incoming inspection procedure — tell us and we will attach them to your shipping paperwork automatically so you are not requesting them one at a time.
Retention
We retain batch records and analytical results in line with our quality system. If you need historical CoAs for a lot received some time ago, ask — we can usually retrieve them.
