24-Hour Emergency Response
If you have an active spill or release, call (818) 504-3355 now.
The line is answered 24 hours a day. Have the product name, the approximate quantity, and the location ready if you can — but call first and gather details while you are on the phone.
Before you call, if it is safe to do so
- Move people away from the area and upwind
- Do not attempt to identify an unknown container by opening it
- Do not mix anything with the spilled material, including water, unless the SDS specifically directs it
- Stop the source only if it can be done without exposure
- Keep the safety data sheet available for the responder
What we can do
Miles Chemical operates an emergency response capability alongside our environmental services group. Depending on the situation and location, that can mean technical guidance over the phone, an on-site response crew, containment and cleanup, waste characterisation, and transport of the resulting waste under manifest.
We respond for our own customers and, where we have capacity, for organisations we do not currently supply.
Unknown and orphan containers
A drum nobody can identify is a common call. Do not open it, do not move it further than necessary to make the area safe, and do not guess from the label — labels outlive their contents. We can sample and characterise it, then handle disposal under the correct profile.
After the incident
We provide the documentation the event generates: waste manifests, characterisation results, and a written summary of what was done. If a regulator asks later, having that on file is the difference between a short conversation and a long one.
Need a quote, a sample, or a sheet?
Call and you reach a person who can price the item, check stock, and tell you the next delivery day to your area.
