Four ways this usually starts
Most blending enquiries arrive as one of four situations. Knowing which one you are in tells us what to ask for first.
1. Match what I am buying now
Send a sample and the safety data sheet. We characterise the performance, build a formula that does the same job on your line, and run a side-by-side before you commit. This is the most common request and the one with the fastest payback, because the incumbent price is usually carrying a lot of margin.
2. Blend to my formula
You own the chemistry, we own the tanks. An NDA is signed before anything changes hands, and we do not need to see more of the formula than the work actually requires. Your formula is not used to develop a competing product.
3. Develop something new
Bring the problem rather than the answer — the soil that will not come off, the finish that keeps failing salt spray, the effluent that will not meet its limit. Our laboratory develops to the performance requirement and we scale it from bench to production.
4. Just dilute it properly
Dilution sounds trivial and frequently is not. Caustic and acid dilutions are strongly exothermic and have injured plenty of people who were doing it in a tote in the yard. We will make the concentration you need, certify it, and take that step out of your operation.
Quality release
Every batch is released against a specification by the laboratory on the same site, under our ISO 9001:2015 quality system. That means batch records, retained samples, calibrated instruments, and a Certificate of Analysis with the lot number that matches the container label.
If a question about a lot comes up eighteen months later — from you, from your customer, or from an auditor — the record still exists and we can answer it.
Sample to production
Timelines depend on how much development the formula needs. A straight dilution can ship in days; a developed formula matched to a performance requirement takes longer and we will tell you how long at the start rather than at the end.
Define
What it has to do, on what substrate, at what cost, and against what specification. NDA signed if a formula is involved.
Bench
Laboratory formulation and testing in Arleta. You get a sample and the data behind it, not just a sample.
Trial
A trial quantity on one line, run against your current product. If it does not win, we say so and go back to the bench.
Production
Scale to production batches with QC release, CoA per batch, and your pack size and label.
What comes out of the Arleta tanks
Alkaline & acid cleaners
Soak, spray, and electro cleaners for parts washing and surface preparation, inhibited where soft metals are in the mix.
Surface finishing chemistry
Plating additives, brighteners, passivates, and sealers — including chrome-free replacements for hexavalent chromate.
Water treatment blends
Coagulants and pH control blended to a plant's own water chemistry and discharge limits rather than to a catalogue number.
Acid & caustic dilutions
Any concentration you need, made and certified here so the exotherm and the handling risk stay off your site.
Sanitizers & food-grade
CIP and sanitation chemistry at food grade, with the letters of guarantee and certificates an audit will ask to see.
Private label
Your brand on the container. Label design, printing, and application handled in-house across pack sizes from quarts to totes.
