Always add acid to water slowly with agitation, never water to acid.<\/p>\n<p>At 93% it is relatively non-corrosive to carbon steel, which is why steel tanks are common. Dilute sulfuric is far more aggressive to steel than concentrated \u2014 a tank suitable for 93% may fail rapidly if the contents are diluted by water ingress. Keep it dry.<\/p>\n<h2>Compatibility<\/h2>\n<p>Incompatible with bases, most metals in dilute form, organics, chlorates, and water in uncontrolled quantity.
